I have a question for any small-scale cachet makers out there. What are some good sources for 6-3/4 gummed envelopes? Our hobby organization is looking at printing some cacheted covers for the first time. I think we would need 100% cotton envelopes, preferably cream or ivory. Probably just 250.

Please be more specific than "try Amazon.

Many thanks!

GregAlex, you may have an easier time finding them in the US. I have been searching in Canada for them for a couple of years, with no luck for white without security blue insides. My last box of 500 from staples, about $18cdn 10 years ago, is down to about 30. I am planning to go see printers if they can source them. I use them for souvenir covers I get made up at shows I attend.

I searched online and found a place in the US called www.paperpapers.com and they appear to have that same size and some on sale. Well that is what it says. Good luck.
Mike

Edit- found a made in USA- 24lb white wove paper 500 for under $50cdn Search- Dronka

I'd check out Crane. Lots of 100% cotton stationary.

Crane produces some magnificent paper, but they don't seem to offer the standard 6-3/4 envelope size.

Could ask Mystic as they own FDC services. I doubt they would view you as a competitor and may be happy to answer the question about their sourcing.

Neenah does produce a couple different 100% cotton papers and will special order #6-3/4 envelopes, with a minim of 300. This may be the best option, but I'm going to try and get samples first.
