This stamp issued in a very attractive set shows different character facial make-ups in Beijing opera. Here is the set on a folder with descriptions of the characters. Since the inscription is printed very faintly, I copied it here:

FACIAL MAKEUPS IN BEIJING OPERA
The facial makeup in Beijing opera is a plastic art with unique characteristics. Its aim is to show up the nature and special traits of an opera character through appropriate exaggeration and symbolism.
As a result of centuries of continued development and creation, there are today over 300 different facial makeups. The ones selected for this new series are of well-known characters who are representative of different kinds of roles in Beijing opera.

8-1 Meng Liang, 4 fen, a general of the Song Dynasty in the opera "Hongyan Caves".
8-2 Li Kui, 4 fen, Hero of the opera "Black Whirlwind".
