Rabbit, designed by German graphic artist Axel Bengs, printed by photogravure, and issued by (East) Germany on February 5, 1970 as one of a set of four stamps publicizing the (gulp!) 525th International Fur Auctions, held in Leipzig, Scott No. 1172, Michel No. 1441.

European hare (Lepus europaeus), a semi-postal (charity) stamp designed by Swedish artist Signe "Ham" Hammarsten-Jansson (1881-1970), combined engraved by Stig Rönnberg and typography (Cross of Lorraine), and issued by Finland on October 1, 1962 as one of a set of three stamps benefiting tuberculosis funds, Scott No. B163, Facit No. 555.

This photograph of cute rabbits decorates a semipostal stamp "Für die Wohlfahrtspflege", for diverse welfare projects. Germany 2007.



(Hi, Nethryk, Those Swedish stamps are lovely; in the first, on the mounted carrot, one can read "Carrot found by Uncle Fig, 1898.)
