Tree-felling in winter, designed by Swedish graphic artist and illustrator Svenolov Ehrén (1927- ), engraved by Zlatko Jakus, and issued by Sweden on May 7, 1979 as one of a se-tenant strip of five stamps depicting seasonal farming scenes, Scott No. 1280, Facit No. 1077.

Stylized oak tree, designed by Polish graphic artist Andrzej Heidrich (1928- ), printed by lithography, and issued by Poland in 1964 as one of a set of twelve stamps commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Polish People's Republic, Scott No. 1245.

Nethryk you have amazinging beautiful stamps! Every time I open a topical thread I end up with another dozen stamps I MUST track down/ Anyway here's a nice tree stamp with a two-legged buffalo hiding behind it ... won an Asiago Award in 2011

clifhiker - Thanks! I try to do my part to keep things interesting around here by alternating my posts among a number of different topical threads. Also, I like the graphic design of your award-winning Poland buffalo silhouette stamp.

Here is an image of a stamp depicting (in the foreground) Asian Palmyra palm trees (Borassus flabellifer), aka Toddy palm, Sugar palm, and Cambodian palm, engraved by Pierre Béquet, and issued by Cambodia in 1962, Scott No. 114.

The 'ovava tree is a Pacific Banyan (Ficus prolixa) which was used by Tonga islanders as a meeting place to make public announcements and to discuss important matters affecting the community. Here is an image of a stamp depicting the 'ovava tree, engraved and printed by Thomas De La Rue, and issued for use in Tonga in 1942, Scott No. 74.

Here is an image of an arboreal stamp of another sort: A dying tree, designed by Brazilian graphic artist Ary Fagundes (1910-1992), printed by lithography, and issued by Brazil on September 20, 1976 to promote environmental conservation, Scott No. 1474.

In 1950, the Philippines issued a set of two stamps featuring the Lauan tree to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Bureau of Forestry.
