I don't usually buy small, expensive groups of stamps - I'd much rather have several hundred for the same price. However, I'd had a reasonable month's ebaying and I'd wanted these for some time, so ... Two of the unissued groups of Marianne de Londres (or de Dulac, if you prefer) stamps, Yvert 701A-F. These, printed by Harrison, were both rejected by de Gaulle because of the absence from the design of the Cross of Lorraine. 5,000 of the first group, and 10,000 of the second, were printed. I'm unclear as to how these were put on sale - in London? In Paris? Both?
