Customized a page layout for my set of socked on the nose (SON) National Parks stamps for my collection. I use Scott National Blank pages (ACC120) and Microsoft Word for the text and individual frames for each stamp. The page location and frame sizes can be adjusted for the stamps or sheets being displayed. |

After a 3 year pause because of work, last weekend I dragged most everything out to figure out where I left off, made sure I had enough supplies (ordered a couple of minor things), caught up on Linn's and Scott, organized all the inventory waiting to for me to work now.... sort of organized..., and dusted off my Epson Workforce 1000 to print pages, including swapping out the old ink cartridges and a painful cleaning of the jets. Now to enjoy myself, except it is Monday and work is calling. Baby steps...

I received a nice order in the mail today from a favorite HipStamp dealer I often buy from. 18 MNH topical sets. Brings my total number of sets to over 1000. Nice material. In addition, I updated my watch list, and planned my next purchases, once I have these put into my stockbook. Very fun! |

From some remainder albums, I found some Spanish Sahara, Fernando Poo, Rio Muni, and Spanish Guinea. These were all more recent issues. These will go on Vario pages since not enough to warrant printing Steiner pages.

Added 49 stamps to my New Zealand collection from a recent ISWSC circuit. Added to album, printing pages as needed, and updated my country inventory.

Quote: mestephil - Welcome back to active collecting. Hope it lasts for a while. Thanks, amccleaf1. I intend to do so! This weekend I separated my Panama stamps from my international binder to their own album and added about 12 pages of mounted stamps I had languishing in an inventory binder. Panama and its stamps have a special place with me. |

For the past week have been working on material I bought at the Albany, NY spring stamp show. This show is a bit outside my area (about 1.5 hour drive) but I combined the show with a visit with my son who is in college across the river. The show seemed well attended and the dealers completely fill the space available in the room. I spent most of my time at only 3 different dealer tables and stayed on the cheaper side of things.. I bought some material by the page ($1 to $4 per page). US, Danzig, Spain, Portugal, and Austria to fill some holes. Got a used US Q12 on a $1 page with some other parcel post stamps to make my day. Also bought some Germany, Italy in 102 cards. Another dealer had a 5c book, picked out 68 stamps there, some Belgium, Malay states, space stamps, etc, just a mix. Last table I went to had a treasure box, 50c an item, picked out 23 cards there, mix of material. Overall spent a little over $60. Been reading some posts regarding the future of stamp collecting. At 57 I can say I felt like the kid in the room most of the time. I didn't specifically look for younger people at the show but most of the collectors were "older". |

Finished processing my latest swap circuit. Added 62 stamps to my albums for 15 entities, some new to my collection, including Estonia, Guatemala, Germany, Great Britain, Belgium, Bolivia, Grenada, Ireland, Iran, Hong Kong, Indo-China, French Offices in China, Japan, Latvia and Luxembourg. On to my next batch to generate some duplicates for the next round. |
