Hi Robert,

You have two very nice post cards there, unfortunately I do not have any postcards with any birds with actual feathers on them, but I do have these "birds":

A first day cover from Ft Ross with a Pelican Stamp, Sc#1466 A880 8c deep brown:

And the "Flamingo" hotel in Santa Rosa, CA, two views:

I wish I had some other real "bird" post cards, but the above birds will have to do Julie

Fine Feathered Friends? Here's one I haven't shown before, Turkeys! Nice card from the school teacher in Fish Rock.

Nice seeing Santa Rosa's Flamingo Hotel.

I like your card littleriverphil, it is very nice. I like your regional postcards.

In the meantime, I think I goofed on the Ft Ross card, I called it a first day cover, but in looking at it more it does not look like a FDC - it looks like they commemorated the dedication of the opening of the Ft Ross chapel with mailing this post card. Julie

Here are a few pigeons and I'm sure I can pluck a few others to share. How do you suppose they kept their brood from flying the coop?
