What thickness is he normal paper for this stamp? (ACSC doesn't mention it for this issue.) Of my 3 copies, the outer two measure 0.088mm thick, which is a bit more than the 0.075mm for the normal stamp. The middle copy is just a tad thicker on average.

Images will follow. The upload screen has frozen.

I have just noticed something else about these stamps. The first stamp is a shade deeper than the other two. Is the difference great enough to make the first stamp Indigo and the others Deep Slate?

Sorry for the (perhaps more than usually) disjointed nature of this post. I am having software problems of some sort, which I will report to staff.

Hi itma

.75mm is not the thickness for a normal stamp, it is the thickness of the thin paper type. .88mm is still thin paper, and as the ink saturates the thin paper it will give a darker shade.

Unfortunately I do not have a Deep Slate, hopefully I will soon remedy that.

Rob

Hi Frank

Here is the shade difference between regular paper and thin paper. I believe the first stamp of your three is thin paper.
