No worries. I removed your other similar post since you found this forum category; this category is best for show notifications and it should get more views here.

It would be nice to know if there are charges for admission or parking, and if so, how much. I didn't see either on the website as well.

Thanks for the info. It may help to increase attendance, especially of locals, if that were added to the website.

Billresh, thanks for your message about parking and admission fees - I've contacted the show organizers (I'm a boothholder flying over from London) to add the info to the show website. Steve

Have confirmed free admission with the show organizers who have updated the website - thanks again for your post.

Parking was free last year but hotel is under new management and waiting to hear back on that - there is free parking in the area.

Please Join us at The San Diego Stamp Show
February 23-25, 2024

Once again it is time to put on a good pair of walking shoes, pack a lunch and attend the San Diego Stamp Show at the Hilton in Mission Valley. There will be 200+ exhibit frames to view. I encourage you to look at the show schedule (link to show site below) and plan your visit. Major Societies will be present offering a chance to learn and grow in our hobby. Some of the events include.

• Friday the 23rd: Charles Epting - Buying & Selling at Auction will be in the afternoon offering information for those looking to expand collections or dispose of duplicate stock.
• Saturday the 24th: The US Postal Service is also preparing an additional special San Diego cancellation for the Basketball stamp FDC taking place in Los Angeles on Saturday 2/24. Don't miss the APS Town Hall with Scott English APS Exec. Director as well as the Beginners Exhibitor Seminar with Darrell Ertzberger, APS CANEJ Chair.
• Sunday the 25th will be 3 "At the Frames" Exhibit Walkthroughs at various times and Éire Philatelic Association Seminar with Bill O'Connor, EPA, PSC, APS.

These are just a few of the opportunities available to expand our Philatelic knowledge, so bring those note pads and pencils.
Let us also prepare our want lists to bring to the floor along with our club vouchers. The show has scheduled 20 + dealers ready to service those want lists.

This show promises to be a very important philatelic event here in San Diego County. The Poway Stamp Club is a Sponsor of the Grand Award and will be present to assist all our members as well as make new friends and hopefully new members. We will have chairs for resting, catalogs for pricing, and water bottles for refreshing. Members will be on-site, set up through break-down to offer our assistance when needed.

This is an APS World Series of Philately National Level Show. Let us all turn out and support this event to keep it growing and expanding in our philatelic community.

Just setting up my booth at warm and sunny Hilton Mission Valley, San Diego.

Special stamp show parking fee of $5 with validation at the front desk. There's also free parking on side streets within a couple of blocks of the show hotel.

Big thank you to everyone that organized and participated in last weekend's stamp show. It's my first time attending such an event and was grateful for everyone's warm reception. I definitely learned a lot and found many interesting things, including the great exhibits. Brought my little daughter along since she showed a bit of interest in dad's old stamps. It was a pleasant surprise that she had the best time talking with EVERYONE :D Thank you to the Poway Stamp Club for introducing us to this great community!
