Am just wondering if anyone else here has tried to convert multiple images of a 3D object into a single panoramic representation.
I tried getting AI (Google Gemini 3) to do the work, but after several frustrating prompt attempts, it revealed that while it understood what I was wanting, it didn't have the tools "under the hood" to create what I wanted.
The closest I've come is with the now deprecated Microsoft Ice software. I'm wondering if there are other tools that can do a better job.
What follows are 6 images taken of an 1898 pill box with revenue stamp affixed, rotating the box slightly so that there is overlap across the images. The last image is the resulting Microsoft Ice panorama.
I was hoping to create a representation of what the label would look like (with revenue affixed) when laid flat, rather than having to destroy the wrapped box to do so.
Any suggestions?
