To be honest, I'm still not sure that most of that is mint. Rather, postally used with extremely light cancellations, or none at all. You may want to post some pictures of the backs to help us decide.

As far as potential value, I believe that the coin collection has a greater chance of having significant value. This stamp collection should probably be donated and taken as a tax write-off. Just my opinion.

I never said any of this is mint. I said it appears to be unused, but my idea of unused has been the idea that there are no postmarks on what I e shown thus far. As far as I am aware, postage is valid if not postmarked. To test this, I have sent a letter using postage pictured in this thread. I'll post back once that letter reaches its destination to confirm if it "worked" or not. Now, keep in mind stamps and stamp collecting are not my "thing", yet I have a pile of stuff I inherited that I would rather not just throw away knowing there is some stuff in this mess that has value. What I have shown thus far is all the loose stuff out of one small tin box. I don't know what I don't know, which is why I joined here and am asking questions to learn as I go. If that's too much of a bother, Partime, then I would be happy to move along to another site to get my questions answered.

Would the $1 denomination fit into the "larger" category, or just the $2+?

$1 and up for sure. Even the 50 cent and up would have some package demand. If you are doing a lot of mailing, a handy glue stick makes application fast with poor condition or missing gum. As you have so much (the bundles), Henry Gitner Philatelists, Inc may be able to point you in a good direction if not buying it himself.

Yes, ebay can work but selling on ebay is work. What is your time worth to you? That is a question only you can answer and it only matters to you.

Parcelpostguy - thank you. I will keep your suggestions in mind.

I have been trying to find a local expert to look the albums over to see if any of it is worth reselling or not. Here are just a few photos of some of the older stuff (note: these have NOT been adhered to anything, and still have the gum on the back). I don't know what to look for in terms of rarity, or what would be a must-have for a devout collector, so have a look at this and let me know what you think. I think there is 7-8 large binders of stuff like this in a box that weighs about 50# or better.

Thank you to everyone that has offered words of wisdom and your opinions. I do appreciate it. I think I am going to seek out a local philatelist to look this stuff over and stop bothering you folks about it. I am sorry if I rubbed anyone the wrong way - I'm sure the true stamp collectors of the world view a fella like me like satan.. I'm sorry, it's not my thing, and this stuff takes up a lot of space in my small house.

Take care, folks.
