Hi all,
I was hoping that some of you more experienced collectors might have some suggestions or ideas on how to handle this (or to just lump it lol!)

I take part in a large number of cover and postcard swaps with others on Postcrossing. Lately, there has been a large number of people saying that they have been receiving their stamps with ugly pen marks dragged across the stamps to cancel them - this doe not seem to be isolated to one region or post office.

Canada seems to be getting a bit of a bad reputation for this, and I am getting concerned that no one will want to make a trade if they know that their stamps are going to be fugly - one recipient received my last Prudence Heward stamp with a big ole ugly pen mark across it :(

I am somewhat new to this, is this the norm?
