This one is from Venezuela. The Scott catalogue says stamps inscribed "Correos" were for external postage and those inscribed "Instruccion" were for internal postage and revenue. Furthermore, these Instruccion stamps were invalid as of 1895, and your copy is from a printing after 1895. Your stamp is similar to the 5c of 1893, Scott #128.

A Venezuela revenue, which saw some limited postal duty.

Here is some information on early stamps of Venezuela. I don't see a date on the information, but it seems like it might be very old (as in 100+ years).

I like reading old philatelic articles. It is almost impossible to imagine how scarce information must have been for early collectors.

Hi,

Venezuela Escuelas (Revenue) issued 1901. Same design as 1893 but with chnaged colors. According to Minkus 1980:

R113 5c orange 5 5
R114 10c vermilion 5 5
R115 10c blue 5 5
R116 25c prussian blue 5 5
R117 50c yellow green 5 5
R118 1b gray black 4.00 1.20
R119 3b red brown 5 5
R120 10b vermilion 20 20
R121 20b deep violet 30 30

The numbers after are 1980 Mint and Used prices. I show them for a reference to scarcity.
