Thank you. I just read the audit report on the UNPA, courtesy of your link. Just like any group left to its own devices it seems. I was suprised about the "off sale stocks". There are any number of collectors who would love to purchase these items at cost. I myself go online to the UNPA shop only to see a huge number of issues that are off sale that I would have loved to been able purchase. We shall see what happens. I still really like to collect the UN. Thanks, again,DD
I think it is great to re-organize the UN chronologically!
I have a collection that is on White Ace pages & they are pretty close. But, I think the Geneva and Vienna issues should be displayed along with the NY sets that they were associated with.
Do you also include the UNTEA and the UN administrative offices that Scott lists at the end of Switzerland?
I remember getting the first four UN stamps back in the mid '50s (to the best of my recall). That was a big deal to me, and something I showed to anyone that would look. Unfortunately, those are long gone and have not been thought of until recently. I had no idea that the UN had put out such wonderful issues since then.
I bought a UN album when I was young but didn't have many stamps. When I start collecting again after stopping for 20 years I update the album but it was not long I decide to concentrate on Europa. I auction most of my UN stamps here on this forum. I still have my album and being what I am it wouldn't surprising I start buying UN again. Sounds crazy after selling it all. Not at all i'm a Libra!
