I have seen some of these at a show. they hold covers, lots of them, but they are stacked one on top of the other but each one is just a bit lower then the next. like old photo books where the first is on top, you flip it up to see the next one, etc..
anyone know what I am describing? how to get one?

Cover album. The kind you describe is most often used for the 50 state stamps, or wildlife stamps. There are others that are 2-post folders the size of a number 6, or number 10 envelope (just one pocket per page). I have also seen dual-pocket pages in an album.

Here's one source ... they are VERY expensive, though (this one is $52.75, plus shipping). I have a couple myself...back to the days when they were about $25, but IMO you really have to weigh the cost of the album versus the content you intend to put in them to see if the cost really justifies the price.

The only one I have that flips like that holds 50 size 6 covers. There are 25 sleeves on each side and it has a slipcase. I got it used from another collector for a few dollars. They are a bit of a pain to get a cover into and out of.
