Is there an online data base of canadian stamps that shows that gives the actual size of each stamp. This is so I can setup the boxes on my sheets before printing or is this done the manual way by measuring or scanning actual stamps.

Canada Post's free "Details" publication shows the size of each new individual stamp, souvenir sheet, to be issued. Prior stamps and all of their respective details can be found at collectionscanada.gc.ca, then click on "Research", then "Philatis - Postal Archives".

However I've always found it easier to place the stamp in a mount, then measure it and add a 1/4 inch to both height and width for the dimensions of the 'box' I'm creating for it.

I am looking for the same answer as the original question...
I checked the "details" from Canada Post (which is located here (click on Our Publications) - the old link don't work anymore) but they start in 2008, and I need earlier dimensions...!

Anyone knows of a resource that HAS the Canadian stamp dimensions/sizes for early years?

Thanks!

Only as far back as January 2002. I can't post links, but if you Google for "UPU WNS Numbering System country theme" without the quotes you should find the WADP Numbering System (WNS) website. This contains a searchable database of postage stamps including dimensions issued by UPU (Universal Postal Union) member countries since January 2002.
