I recently purchased these stamps from ebay but have not received them yet. There are some perfins among them. Does anyone know the values of these stamps? Thanks CuL

These kind of perfins usually reduce value... they are perforated as a usage cancellation, not as a pre-use security measure.

"The Canadian Revenue Stamp Catalogue" dated 2000, does not mention perfins in regard to this or any other revenue related issue. The used value is the minimum stamp dealer's 25 cents each. No idea what any subsequent printings may say.

Heads Up !
You have one of these in your purchase.

Guess from fuzzy memory: The others, sometimes spell out PAID in punctures.

Congrats Cul_Lector on the Luxury Tax perfin.

I wasn't aware of it and on this forum I learn something new virtually every day.

I would differentiate between perfins and punched cancels. They have two distinct appearances and two distinct purposes.

I am not sure, but, I think this type of 'punch' is referred to as "Wood Gundy" punches (??) Hopefully someone with revenue stamp expertise can answer this?

Thanks for the nod, Rod
Since we are unable to update images after 24 hours, I've uploaded the pages of the exhibit again. The images are poorer quality I'm afraid, due to size restrictions.
I've noted there that if Admin deems them too icky for member viewing, they have my permission to remove the new posts.

Hi James,
Note that we established this https://goscf.com/f/58... Simply post in that forum the link of the older thread which needs updating and we will move the thread there so the poster can fix the broken images. When done, we will move it back to its original location. (This works around the 24 hour editing limit.)

If you want to go with a 3rd party solution, I would be happy to publish the high resolution images of your exhibit on Stamp Smarter.
Don

Thanks Don, but that won't work i'm afraid. I was so p.o.'d at Photobucket that I shut down my account. I didn't want them having any access to any of my images.
In other words, there are no more links.
