Another Elephant cover from Indian 2008 usage, stamp issued on 2007.
The gage which you see in background is the wooden cage which was traditionally used to tame wild elephants.

One more to add ... (no, I don't own one)Liberia 62a, inverted elephant, 1905. Cat $1200

I am shocked at how undervalued this stamp is. There was only one sheet of 60 ever to be found and Bileski was the one who broke it apart into 56 singles, and one block of 4.

This is the only multiple in existence.
[/u]

Actually, based on searching the internet, there appears to be four remaining blocks of four. The two top blocks appear to fit together, there was also a bottom right block for auction and the margin inscription block was also mentioned in a thread at stampboards.com. That thread got nixed, apparently somebody got nasty.

My opinion is there is still only one sheet. Beliski probably listed for sale in Linns a single block as well as singles. When multiple checks came in for the block (@ $2000 each), probably sold them instead of giving up a sale. Can't see someone breaking up a partial sheet before sales were in the bag. Pictures

Just waded through 17 pages of elephants (wonderful stuff!) but don't think I saw this one. So if I missed it, forgive me. It's late here, and it's been a long day.
