I rescued this exhibit collection about natural disasters and floods from an auction recently. I couldn't see someone's hard work being broken up and scattered. It's been a joy to go through. There were older sets from Austria and Hungary that I had seen several times, but never realized they were tied to flood disasters. I also didn't realize how many stamps were issued after the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami. I thought I'd share a few pages here. I collect weather stamps, and this added a new dimension to my collection, as well. Any other flood/disaster stamp collectors out there?

Amy

This is a series of stamps that the Spanish government gave to Chile to help earthquake victims in 1961.
They have a surcharge to raise funds for that purpose.

This earthquake of magnitude 9.5° Richter struck Valdivia city in southern Chile on May 22, 1960.
