Hi Kuhli. I don't agree I'm afraid. There are no actual Machin stamps on that sheet as far as I can see, only pictures |

I just read the Machin quote at the top of the sheet, Quote: I think it is generally accepted, at least by connoisseurs, that the Penny Black is probably the finest stamp ever designed Well, we could argue for hours on SCF (probably have ) about which stamp we believe is the finest, but I think its a little depressing to believe that the first stamp ever was the also finest, by inference its all been downhill from there on! Can't agree with that! |

Hello Do not know why the face on the stamp is vanish out, it may be paper, or gum, but I attribute more than in "middle of the world" the water used to soak the stamps turns to the other side Kuhli: Quote: a little pricey, but a must-have for the true Machin fanatic: AnthonyUk: Quote: Hi Kuhli. About the finest stamp design like the 88p cause found one two days ago in a kiloware . Thank you FM |

Just for grins, I was browsing some of the Olympics pics in the online version of the Telegraph and to laugh when I realized that one of the jumps for the equestrian events had a postal theme, with a Penny Black displayed prominently in the middle of the bar! The supporting posts were styled after postboxes. Very neat looking! |

Novato I don't know if the 7½p is that hard to find. Maybe used I bought this collection recently and have a few I've never seen before e.g. NI 64p 65p etc. It also included the symbol varieties some of which are scarce to rare. There will be no more regional Machins except possibly in prestige booklets so it is possible to complete this part of your Machin collection. This complete regional collection cost me a little more than the Smiler sheet at the top of this page and I know which I prefer. |

The sheet issued by the BPMA is a reminder of what not to spend your money on. Also a little disappointed in the organization for joining in with this game, although I know they need the money now they are on the move. Still, £50 is totally out of order, but then I guess we are all spending such a sum at some point during our lives that others may deem ridiculous. That's life, but it's not for me. Londonbus1....I'm saving for STAMPEX! |
