I've checked my catalog and cannot seem to come up with the Scott Catalog Number for this item:

The best I've come up with is Scott #C326. The design seems to match, but I don't think it's the correct "AEREO" overprint.

Any suggestions?

You're a little close. It's an earlier stamp.

In the Scott catalog, Colombia C231 (Aug1953).

Thanks for the info. I have three copies of the same stamp and as many times as I've looked at them, I've mistaken the overprint for black (not blue), thus the reason why I overlooked it in the catalog.

But a closer study shows it is a very deep, dark blue.

Same thing happened to me when working with Panama stamps. The album and catalog mentioned blue overprints but they looked black to me. Was confused for a while.
