Hey Al E. Gator.....

I haven't been to Cashiers/Highlands, but have spent a couple of weeks in Helen, GA, from the map it looks like it's just a hop, skip and jump away....that's a pretty great place too.....

I used to live in Greene County, TN, which borders Madison County, NC, and my wife and I used to take many enjoyable road trips through the mountains during the peak fall colors.

If that's the view from your window, are you in a mountaintop hut? Or perhaps you're Captain Kirk ...

View from my stamp room here in the desert includes the surrounding hills, a beautiful Arizona sunset reflection and a local resident roadrunner perched just outside the window.

Sometimes a photo gets turned sideways in the optimizer no matter what I do. Can someone give me a hint as to how to stop this from happening or how to fix it. Doesn't matter how many times I correct it, re-save it and re-load it. Thanks.

As Hank Williams, Jr. so eloquently put it:
"I live back in the woods you see,
My woman and the kids and the dogs and me"

This is the photo that I took today of the view that I get looking out of my den/stamp room window. That is not actually my driveway, though, it is a county road that dead-ends at our house. As there are only 5 houses, including ours, on the road, the county is reluctant to pave it. Such is life in the mountains of rural Southeastern Kentucky.

I have a good view of our mailbox so, as soon as I see the mailman turning around and leaving, I can go out and see what philatelic treasures he has brought for me.

Beautiful setting Coastwatcher. Although I find the desert fascinating, I do miss the trees and fall color from my first 55 years back East.

This is still my window from my stamp table/desk. A new area is nearly finished to where I will do my stamping soon.

We get amazing sunrises here in winter.

I live on a small forested acreage and hour outside the city and ever window you look out gives inspiration. I most often just spread out over the kitchen table. I will do stamps here or oil paint a bit. Even though we are in a constant state of Reno's and changes, it is still a very nice spot to spend a day!

Today's scene from my stamp room window.

Early snow 70 miles north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
