Tom:

That Belgium cover is a real beauty, Is the story true about the TABS

If the sender pulled the tabs off of the stamps, the mail could only be delivered on a weekday, and if the Tabs were kept intact, the letter could be delivered on a Saturday ??? Or vica-versa

Gussyboy1:

I have a funny feeling, that you just may receive a colorful cover tomorrow, or perhaps Thursday.

Bob......

Glad you like it.........since I found it, it has been in my top five everytime I look at my covers.

Yes, the story is true.....with tabs intact....for delivery on Sunday. Belgium had some of the earliest "blue laws" against doing just about anything on Sundays. But, they were advanced enough to make allowances for those that had other beliefs.

I love all of them. I don't know if this is a "cachet" or not, as the mailing service name is
in the lower corner. Before the groans, I am putting the A.A.T album away for a while :) Jim

Very nice covers everyone! I really like to see these types of covers when they show up in my mailbox. It is amazing the number of stamp dealers who send me the covers I bought from them without using stamps on the envelope.

I didn't hear any groans, desertgem! Keep them coming!

Just got this great cover in the mail today from Jason--THANK YOUJason for all the great stamps you sent--I didn't have any of them at all!

BTW, our US postal system managed to shred the cover - the stamps arrived with the cover loose in a plastic bag! At least someone thought to put it all in the plastic bag.
