The Great Belt is a strait between the major islands of Zealand (Sjælland) and Funen (Fyn) in Denmark, effectively dividing the country in two. The Belt was served by the Great Belt ferries from the late 19th century until the islands were connected by the Great Belt Fixed Link in 1997-98. Here are images of the two se-tenant stamps and label depicting the Great Belt Bridges (West and East), designed by Hans Møller, engraved by Arne Kühlmann (1939- ), and issued by Denmark on May 28, 1998 to commemorate the inauguration of the Link, Scott Nos. 1097a, 1096 & 1097, Facit Nos. 1207 & 1208.
