The 317 m long, double-track railway bridge across the Sava River in Zagreb, known as the Green Bridge, has been in service since 1939. At the time of construction it was the bridge with the longest arch span among all iron bridges in Europe.

The Opening of the Vasco da Gama Bridge
March 29, 1998
The Vasco da Gama Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge that spans the Tagus River in Parque das Nações in Lisbon. It is the longest bridge in Europe with a total length of 17.2 km (including 11.5 km of viaducts). The two pylons of the main bridge are 155m in height.

Here is Denmark's set of 4 "bridges" computer-vended stamps from 2008. Note that 2 different printers, or printer settings (narrow or wide fonts) were used for the code and value printing at point of purchase.

Inauguration of the Rio-Niterói Bridge
March 11, 1974
Rio-Niterói Bridge, also known as President Costa e Silva Bridge, is a box girder bridge crossing Guanabara Bay, in the State of Rio de Janeiro. It is currently the longest prestressed concrete bridge in the southern hemisphere, and the sixth longest in the world.
The stamp shows the stylized bridge with the Christ the Redeemer statue in the background.

Architecture - Bridges

The Feldkirch–Buchs railway bridge crosses the River Rhine between Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Built in 1870 - 1872 the bridge had a lattice structure made of iron with double cross truss. A new steel bridge with a length of 190 meters was built in 1934 - 1935 on the original piers.

Here is a private courier stamp from Nordkurier Briefdienst (Stralsund) of West Pomerania, Germany depicting the new (2007) suspension bridge between Stralsund and the island of Ruegen in the North Sea. THe private mail carrier's rate of 44 eurocents was 20% cheaper than the federal rate.

The Sydney Harbour Bridge is a steel through arch bridge across Sydney Harbour that carries rail, vehicular, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic between the Sydney central business district (CBD) and the North Shore. The 1149 m bridge was opened in March 1932.

The Jacques Chaban-Delmas is a vertical-lift bridge over the Garonne in Bordeaux. The bridge has a total length of 670 m and a main span of 110 m, which makes it the longest vertical-lift bridge in Europe.

Wooden "New Bridge" near Bremgarten, designed by Swiss artist Pierre François Baur (1936-2008), printed by photogravure (Courvoisier, S.A.), and isssued by Switzerland on September 10, 1991 as one of a set of four stamps depicting Swiss bridges, Scott No. 894.

The Incheon Bridge is a newly constructed cable-stayed reinforced concrete bridge in South Korea. It provides direct access between Songdo and Incheon International Airport.
The Octavio Frias de Oliveira bridge is a cable-stayed bridge in São Paulo, Brazil over the Pinheiros River. It connects Marginal Pinheiros to Jornalista Roberto Marinho Avenue in the south area of the city.

Almaqta Bridge, Abu Dhabi
January 1, 1973
The Al Maqta Bridge, with a total length of 430 m, is the first landmark bridge constructed in 1967 connecting the main land with Abu Dhabi Island. The superstructure consists of steel plate girders with a concrete composite deck. The center span was constructed with a steel arch with a clear span of 90 m.
