The Lazienkowska Bridge crossing the Vistula in the south of Warsaw is flanked by two spaghetti junctions. The one on the western side is depicted in the stamp of 1974 (the year in which construction was completed) and the junction on the eastern side is in the photograph. (I gave up counting the number of bridges involved.) (Agmasd, Thanks for calling my attention to the thread again: an upload of mine had gone astray! K.) |

The J. F. Kennedy tunnel of Antwerpen, Belgium, passes beneath the Scheldt river in the southern part of the city. The intersection on the eastern side (photograph taken at completion in 1969) sorts traffic to and from all parts south. Since the cathedral can be seen on the left, the stamp shows the west entrance. (Note: Many streets, tunnels, bridges, etc. have been named after JFK, who was inaugurated on the 20th of January 1961.) |

All shown earlier bridges are the explicit bridges. I want to show a couple of bridges hidden in stamps. So, first Russian Olympics in Kiev in 1913. At the Olympic medals behind discobolus figure visible bridge across the Dnieper. Nicholas Chain Bridge was built in 1853, designed by the English engineer Charles Vignoles ... Very similar to the famous chain Lion bridge in Budapest |
