Boy, that Charles bridge in Prague is beautiful. I would love to walk over that and examine all the work and works on it.

Hojo Bridge crosses Hojo Pond on the grounds of Enkaku-ji, temple of the Rinzai Buddhist sect, Okinawa. It is built on four flagstones of Ryukyu limestone. A dolerite (a sparkling green stone) for the balustrades was brought from China. On each side, atop four newels, stand stone-sculpted lion statues, which are considered masterpieces of Okinawan sculpture art. Partially destroyed during the Battle of Okinawa in 1945, the bridge was restored in 1967. Here is an image of a stamp depicting Hojo Bridge, printed by lithogravure, and issued by Ryukyu Islands on November 1, 1967 to publicize protection of cultural treasures, Scott No. 164.
