LCC print that makes it look typewritten

I agree, stampgal,
the dots are a little large, but yes typewritten.

Love your warrington on piece..marvelous!

(also love the Treasurer's name...Kenneth Crook)

and is likely the stamp is signed by him.

Your warrington has no image at cosb
so I would report that one as well !
SCF the commercial overprint people :)

I reported it Rod222 :)

well done cdnum,
not sure if you will be successful,
I reported a couple a few years ago,
but was never replied to.

cdnum your other two are not commercial opts
the first is an electric till receipt opt
The stamp was attached to an account, then
put through an electric till.

The second is a rubber fiscal "paid" stamp
from a cox at woodbridge

Rod, I have at least 4 of these receipts, this is the only one with the overprint, coinciding also with Mr Crook becoming Treasurer.
I have countless pieces of paper kept by my Grandparents, a goldmine of history and in some cases philately. I will do a thread on it one day when I have time.. like in 20 years when the kids have left home...

The kids have left home...?
get real! the way the economy is, you'll have them for life :)

Those receipts are gold, for overprint collectors
in pristine condition.
You have some mighty fine philatelic material SG.

At the time of that receipt,
there was a 7yo lad, up the road
and across the Mersey, named John Lennon.

Hi,

Answer from cosgb :

"Thanks very much for the scan! That is an overprint that I have never seen before."

Seem to be uncommon... :)
