The stamp is issued in support of the Zero Tolerance project which aims at preventing the use of drugs (alcohol, narcotic drugs, substances and tobacco) among young people.
Designer Joakim Saul uses symbols such as forbidden fruit, carnivorous plants and snakes to convey the idea of "temptation leading into downfall." The black and white colors further highlight the seriousness and importance of the subject.

Esther Stocker was born in 1974 in Silandro, Italy and lives and works in Vienna. Starting out as a painter, Stocker currently works with various media. She makes wall works (tape on walls) and 3D installations. In her recent installations, Stocker often creates spatial systems with black painted wooden blocks and/or vinyl strips.

Basilica della Madonna dei Miracoli in Motta di Livenza was founded in 1510. The 16th Century structure was restored in 1958.

Otto Pankok is best known for his very expressive wood-cuts. The stamp depicting his "The Ocean and the Sun" commemorated his 100th birthday in 1993. His "Christ destroying a weapon" (1950) became a symbol of the peace movement in the 70s and 80s.

When a letter contains sad news, an announcement of mourning or grief, it can be mailed with a "Trauermarke". The photo of a landscape at sunset was taken by Clara Runge.
