Hi Everyone,

Can someone help me to identify this stamp please?

I am fairly sure it is an A16 but I cannot work out the date/number for it. Number 69 states dark violet whereas 57 is brown olive and number 73 is car. rose!

Thanks in advance (and a Merry Christmas).

Simon

In the Scott catalog, it should be #69 (1879) -- dark violet. Judging from the appearance of the stamp paper, your stamp is most likely a color changeling -- and has simply lost much of its original color.
