I have just seen this thread, and jumping on.
I have not read the subsequent postings from members.

My route (not everybody's choice) is to always work
from the common denominator.

My postmarks are generally "on piece" so I have to also
accomodate varying sizes and shapes.

I always use alphabetical-country
So my collection is Australia A-Z

I use archival A4 copy paper with a simple light blue
quadrille
So my Album of 500 pages with protectors
cost me $19 plus printing ink.

If page "M" fills up just add another page.

I originally didn't collect postmarks,
I just believe when you place articles of similar theme
together in a stamp auction, you get better money.
but I became attached to them
