Hello there! I had a few wishes to show some Swedish stamps. I took two random albums in my collection and picked a few pages and here you have photos!

Please ask me if there is anything! :)

Thanks for interest!

They've been resized by 30%, that might give them a weird view, however I needed to get the filesizes down!

Very nice.

BTW - There is no need to resize if you host the images on Flickr or photobucket etc.

E.g. Click on the image below to see it larger

Swedish stamps had always had an impact on me. They are very aesthetic and the coloured engraved ones of modern to recent times are feast to the eyes. Thanks Tomten for the presentation !

I mostly resize them to lower the filesizes from ~1mb to 100kb. Otherwise it would be 23mb to load in the topic..

I'll try photobucket and Flickr out :)

Thanks!

Really nice examples Tomten.

You've got a very good collection of mint Swedish stamps to start from. Beautiful things they are. Especially those engraved and colored engraved stamps.

I just took a few pictures.. If there's anything special you'd want to see I guess I could go search for it. Too many albums to take pictures of all the pages..

Yes they're in very good condition and beautiful :) Thanks!

I like the logd piled on the sleighs. And the reindeer(?) pulling a small sleigh is it? Hard to see for sure. Neat stamp though.

The Reindeer is pulling a sledge with a man sat on it. Sort of like the dog sleighs. It's a stamp called "Lapponia" from 1972, representing the book from 1673 by J. Schefferus.

The logs set is called "Timbersledge from the Province of Smaland" from 1971.

Both stamps are engraved by Heinz W. Gutschmidt.

As I asked in a previous topic.. I was wondering if anyone know anything about old maps from the 1700s, of different cities. I happen to have a sort of big book with maps over European cities, we think this book might've been used by some vessels..

Anyone know any place where I'd be able to get any information about such things?
