2 and 3 are going to be under Transylvania, 4 is probably Temesvar and 6 is Debrecen, all at the end of Hungary. If those leads don't help, let us know. |

1 is Hungary #208, Hungarian Soviet Republic. 4 is, in fact, Temesvar, and 5 is, too. I didn't recognize it. |

Thanks, that gives me a lot of help. I was getting tired, and assume I just couldn't see these. |

Don't worry, overprints/occupation issues aren't that easy to find until you've been at it awhile. If you want torture, try your hand at post-imperial Russia, Chinese regionals... |

I have a small stack of Chinese stamps. Leaving them for a day when I'm rested and there's no one home to interrupt me. Even then, I'll probably be running to my computer going "HELP". |

Yeah, I have a large envelope containing stamps I can't or don't want to figure out. It's labeled "Only open in the event of my death." k |

Is anyone able to assist with ID of a postmark, please? I think this is an Scott # P4a 1881 1k Lemon Yellow. Newspaper Stamp. I think I see an Oval in a difficult Wmk to read, due to the Pmk. |

I'm going to go with ROMERBAD IN STEIERMARK, which is a strike I've seen before. Anyone else? |

Nice work Collin. How the dickens you got ROMERBAD ending with a "D" in that Postmark has me shaking my head in disbelief. Had to be an "O" or a "U" for mine, I would have bet your wallet on it. PS: That is an Austrian Postmark. Styria = Steiermark, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Styria Styria Notables : Arnold Schwarzenegger Governor of California. |

A few days off, and Rod is immediately starting to ask about Austrian stamps ... By the way ... not only Arni is from Styria - Red Bull owner Didi Mateschitz was born there as well, and the Austrian Formula 1 Grand Prix is taking place in Spielberg. Last year's race is "stamped" on my memory - just to get back on topic. |
