EdziuMM - thanks, that's what I thought as well  Kind of heartbreaking to pull it out of and remove it from my main Austria collection - but I simply need that postmark for my CDS collection. That's a frustrating part of collecting postmarks, in some cases you want the same stamp to be part of several different collections. |

Lawrence - just in the event that you don't know - that's a San Francisco, CA "cogwheel" cancellation. A very popular item for collectors. Good job. |

and TXstamps, thanks for the info, I did not know that, I recently saw a cover online with 3 Black Jack stamps on it and they had the same cancels, I'll try to find it again. |

Here are two wartime, socked-on-the-nose Danzig cancels: 1.) Zoppot * c * (8 vertical bars) postmarked 8.1.43, Wolff #16, and 2.) Danzig * 3 * postmarked 14.12.43, Wolff #7. Source is Klaus Wolff "Danzig-Stempelkatalog", Band 1.  |
