Does anyone know where I can order hingeless stamp albums for Romania? I've tried MDC and others but can't seem to locate Romania. I have a fairly large collection of Romanian stamps and would like to mount them in a hingeless album. Thanks for any help you can give me!

Mike

Nice to have a Romanian collector aboard,
we are thin on the ground :)

My collection stands at 2,362 currently.
Romanian B.o.B is amazingly broad.

I collect stamps from Romania too - my main collecting interest is Russia to 1991, but I have a fairly large Romania collection too - only really interested in issues to about mid 60s. I visited Romania 2 or 3 times a year for about 15 years during my work with a British charity with projects in Bucharest and Brasov.

I'm looking for a hingeless album too but the Palo hingeless seems very expensive - compared to say Lighthouse SF pages (considering page for page costs) - unless my memory is letting me down.

Any other hingeless page options - for the earlier issues?

One possibility, Schaubek makes pages, hingeless and regular for Romania but only from 1945. One could get blank pages from them and then download Steiner pages up to that date.

I suspect that Romania is one of those countries for which the choice of printed albums is declining, perhaps reflecting reduced demand. Palo comes with the drawback of being based on Steiner, which is, in turn, based in Scott, so you'll probably get the Scott system of putting air-mail and charity stamps miles away from other issues from the same year.

I keep my Romanaia collection, such as it is, on quadrille in a springback (I recently disposed of my '70s stuff in a Schaubek and will shortly get rid of the '60s, which is in a Safe). And, assuming you have a decent range, this is probably the only way to accommodate the riot of perf varieties for most earlier and middle period issues.
