. . . South American Countries such as Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Peru . . . Any hints as to where I might find material from this area?

There is ebay in Rio called Mercado Livre (Free Market), well it looks and feels like ebay. All in Portuguese of course and I suppose you would have to inquire as to shipping (I do not speak Portuguese or Spanish so I just muddled through).

Stamps are under Collectibles and Comics and then Filatelia. I typed in peru when not in that category and got live chickens and eggs and cars and everything. Very interesting. I may visit more often. Not for the chickens!

Otherwise do a Google for your stamps but spell it in Portuguese.

I mentioned in a previous thread that the "Conservation Pledge" appearing on the Fleetwood Cachet for the Wildlife Conservation Issue of 1956 should be put back into use as its as relevant today as it was back then. I'm not sure where that pledge originated, but probably some watchdog group would find some reason why it is not "politically correct" to use it today:

(I think it would have made a nice stamp as part of the "Go Green" issue.)

Since no one posted a cover for November 8th, I'll backup a day or two and post this one:

What I think is quite an interesting cover from France to the United States dated 1937. Quite an appropriate choice of commemorative as well.

A couple of early submittals for November 13th:

This, of course, is a First Day Cover for the US Capitol Embossed Envelope:

This is a regular commercial cover (addressee electronically removed for privacy) that originated from the Probate Court, Boston, Mass., showing proper use of stamps with the "B" perfin. Also interesting is the old large double-circle cancellation from the 1950's and 1960's that shows the month as only a two letter abbreviation (in this case "NV" for November):
