Any ideas of what country this is from? I thought Italy but I was fruitless in my first attempt. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like an 1867 issue of Belgium, Scott 18.

Ok, there is a No.18 on the back. I bought a box of stamps on ebay ... a huge box ... and I put this in with my Belgiam stamps so I think you may be correct.

I think the postmark is 206 which is from Landen.

The numbers inside the dots ran from 1 to 455.
