For what she's worth, my incomplete collection of Canadian Postage Dues.

1906-1928

1933-1934

1936-1965

An(other) area I should be paying more attention to.

Just came across this piece with Canadian definitives from 1982 and 84 with a Postage Due T stamped over them, demanding a further $1.40.

Can just make out the year 1986 on the cancel on the upper 20c stamp.

Here's another nice ebay pick up, the key is in the postmark.

Only 2400 of this value were sent to Brisbane for use there and distribution to the rest of Queensland. This is postmarked "Charters Towers", such regional usage is very hard to find.

Where would my collection be without ebay?

A nearly remarkable new discovery.

Below you will find comparison scans for two Aussie Postage Dues, the 1914 1/2d SG D79 perf 14 x 14.

The stamp at left is from my collection, a nice clean mint hinged copy. The one on the right was acquired today for $5. Can you see the difference?

Unfortunately, rather than a rare new discovery of a sideways watermark previously unheard of, it was viewed by Chris Ceremuga, the 'go to' man for certificates in Australia and pronounced a cut down and reperfed SG D77w. If you look carefully, you can see that the perfs are not quite in alignment and the stamp on the right is much smaller.

Oh well, the search continues for the next find.

A 1921 postage due from Guinea: The printing of Guinea looks dodgy to me, perhaps it is not genuine.
