Glad that the blocks have been enjoyed.
The "Expressz" label was given to me by someone who gets a lot of mail from Poland and Ukraine, but beyond that hint, I have no idea where it originates.

OK if you want to, but reciprocating is not obligatory butterfly, the joy is in the giving. :)
BTW that issue, came in two forms, the die cut (or "kiss cut") perforations, of which you have, and normal punched perforations.

That was me Rod. A nickel is a 5-cent coin, $0.05. It used to be made of silver and when they changed to a nickel alloy the name stuck. A quarter is a 25c coin (quarter of a dollar), usually with a moose on it. Here is a Canada KGVI one from ebay. The newer ones are rounded on the edge and with QEII of course but the Canadian Beaver has stayed for years. |

Thanks Puzz, I thought it was (nickel and dime store) nice to have confirmed.

I don't think this example was posted before, so I'll do so now: Kind of interesting because it's not a label but was on a preprinted envelope (showing the perforations and all). The envelope originated in India. |

I have a small collection of etiquettes and will show them on this thread Indian label of 1931. White on dark blue. The label has been defaced with two red bars, was it to to prevent re-use?
White on light blue - different style:
It appears that a label similar to the one on the first cover has been trimmed & used on this cover. |

Gollygosh! they are simply beautiful Alan, you lucky devil. I am not an aero specialist but this sort of material rarely is seen on SCF. Thanks for posting.
I don't think the bars are a defacing device...unknown
The bottom labels has a different font, but agree has been attacked by scissors.
Could the "city of karachi" be a DeHavilland DH66 Hercules? |

I also have some etiquettes whose country of origin I don't know. Can anyone help please? I recently (20 minutes ago) scanned my etiquette collection. If others are interested I can display them. There are 12 pages like the one above, all in Dropbox. |

Thanks Rod. I collect Indian Airmails. I have come across several covers variously defaced but have found no reference to this practice. However, I have seen covers with postmarks after 1934 where the airmail labels are canceled like this one
Here are a couple of Brainiff etiqettes
