Well I believe that ebay's selling trends have changed when it comes to what is happening in our ebay store.

So after a couple of months of trying this and that it comes to a time when things need to change.

1st issue is our store has become to large and I feel that this is turning off a lot of buyers!

More to come.........

Hi KGV I see some ebay stores with more than 2000 postal items / stamps in them. I give up looking after about 10 pages of their listings. To many items! Nowdays I only run auctions and usually have less than 180 auctions over a 7 day spread. I try to concentrate on qv covers with stamps on them, maritime or transaltlantic covers, pre-stamp and stampless. This seems to bring the buyers in time and time again for me. I think you're correct a store to big can be a turn off as it requires to much time for buyers to find what they want. Also a big varied range with too many items makes it harder for the item the buyer wants to be found. What your store does not have is sub catgories. I use catgories so if buyer is looking for one type they click the hyperlink and find what they want. Maybe grouping some of your stamps may save you some time scanning and listing each one.

Also ebay.com has 50 free auction listings a month. I suggest using them as you will reach out to an even bigger audience.

ebay browser issues for 4 listing days..... can not up load a listing image!

Have decided to change to a feature store with 500 free listing at a cost of $50 + pay $100 for another 500 listings. Total $150 which is heaps better than a $500 anchor store that does not work anymore.

So I am changing over to fixed price listings for 30 days. Hopefully it will suit our stock levels.

If I was going to go off shore selling it would be with co.com

Anchor store is to expensive at $500 a month. My upload images is working fine. What version of internet explorer are you using? Try firefox or chrome browsers. Clear all your cache and history from your PC every couple of days. Check for PC software updates.

Cleared all history. Checked JavaScript & Adobe Flash player.

Can get internet explorer to work on standard browser sometimes but crashes after 10 image up loads.

Firefox works on basic browser but not standard.

Chrome when on standard browser cropping works as a white out area instead of a crop!

The issue has been happening over the last couple of week and just got worse and worse.

My computer is window 7 and the same thing happens on my wife computer which uses windows 8 and runs google chrome.

It is getting that way with ebay that they know me by my 1st name.....

That sounds like a real headache, almost like a PC virus. Assume you have goood antivirus, also malwarebytes? Not all antivirus software pics up everything. Get the free edition of malwarebytes and run a scan. I also run advanced system care ultimate as it has some good in built tools. Cleaned registry? Driver updates? There are software programs that can check to see if all drivers are up to date, such as vidoe drivers etc. Maybe time to buy an apple mac.

Now everything is working again!

Really need it to work for me today.

This is our best day of the week and have 4 sales in total. :(

Normally list high values from 1990 to 2014 but today it is only going to be from 2000 to 2014.

Thank you Duncan!

Hi KGV I think you need some bigger ticket items in your listings spread out over the whole week. Maybe you should venture into postal history covers to? Stamps on covers do well, not just Oz stamps but a mixture world wide and all pre 1900. And consider selling on .com will bring more bidders in. I've sold 52 items in 3 days to give you an idea. And 51 items have bids today. The USA / uk market is huge. Even though I list on .com Oz buyers come in to as I tick world wide visible.

Hi KGV. I don't use the ebay crop feature at all. Instead you need to get photopad image editor software. Scan the stamps with that software and crop in the software before you save the pictures. Then upload to ebay not using the ebay crop feature. Then you can avoid the ebay crop which is an obvious problem. The photopad software crop is simple to use. I save every pic as a jpg file with it between 1 to 5mb per pic. What scanning software are you using? Sometimes the generic scanning software is not enough. I think if you get photopad for free on google your listing nightmares will be solved. Oh yes you can do multiple scans at once with photopad. Do try it and let me know as I use it with no trouble. If the ebay crop isn't working you need the photopad imaging software with in built crop tool.

Hi KGV re the firefox jammed upload, close down the jammed upload tab when it first happens. If add photos starts hanging you don't have to wait for it to respond simply close that tab. You can see the second page tab opened with the firefox icon at the bottom of your screen. Close it (but leave the create listing open) when it jams and try again add photos. That sometimes freezes for me to. When it does I close the upload photos box go back to the create listing page and press add photos again. It usually works the second time round. I see somehow you have two add photo screens up at once. That is the problem. You need to close the forzen tab of the first add photos box when it freezes and the start again fresh the second time. You can't have two add photo boxes up at once. I hope that makes sence.

That screen grab image has a special touch for ebay. As just sending the one image being the image in the background ebay said...So I fixed it so they could see both at once. Must be a good image sent to ebay as there merry-go-round has stopped. The bit about our technician saying it is an ebay issue has slowed ebay Bulls Manure as well probably. If I am paying ebay $500 per month I want to be able to use the standard up loader as I have always done. Sending the tecko's cost + ebay not being able to provide me with the service for 2 weeks that I am forced to pay for...

Best Match did us in. Stupid.......Changes!

Now to fiddle and pock till we find a groove again. But then ebay will find another way to stuff things up. At least they are consistent.
