KGV (John and family), it is great to see you all trying to keep it all together, and then after all the upsets and confusions at times, keeping it all together.

Very inspiring to me, and other as well I imagine. A confidence and faith-in-yourself builder.

ebay is always after keeping their own selves together as well as making their own money. I wish they would pull all of their systems together into a world-wide one and start sharing or selling to the world.

From all of the issues lately listed above it seemed to me to be a cache or history problem also. Too many memories saying what was right.

After having a good think about it all and changing most of our listings over to BIN listings a plan has emerged.

What I was listing Mon, Tues, Wed, Thur. Auction listings = $500

will now become 1st week, 2nd week, 3rd week, 4th week. BIN listings = $150

Plus the work load is spread over 4 week instead of 1 week.

So in a couple of days I will change over to a feature store and put this idea together.

Have turn the whole ebay store bit upside down and round and round!

Have to have a new ebay ID to open a store in .com or co.com so that is out.
No matter which way I go it all points back to a $500 anchor store.

Really need to pencil in a life again. It has been nothing but stamps for the best part of 4 years.

An Australian feature store at $50 offers 500 free listings and then auction listing under $150 cost $1.50 each. Having 600 listings per week to be auction listings and 500 BIN's per month narrows the store choice down to a $500 anchor store with unlimited auction listings.

Have many months of stock work to do so in the round a bout it is very good to slow things down for the next 3 months. Good chance to start a social life again. Have many unanswered calls in this area.

Our 5th year apprenticeship on ebay has started. Have prepped heaps. It was good to slow things down for a few months.

Still have a white out when I go to crop on ebay. Have spent heaps trying to get this fixed but no one seems to be able to help. One more person I have found that will hopefully fix the issue.I really do not want to buy a new computer to fix the issue.

Well our stamping season starts 1 Feb with the anchor store back in place. It should be a better selling year as people are spending again apparently. Here's hoping. Will know by the end of Feb.

It will take two weeks to list everything. It is nice to feel very positive about 2015 here goes!

Glad to see (or read) that you are doing so well! FYI though...ditch that chrome garbage ASAP it's too "buggy" and I use Mozilla FireFox too and HATED that chrome. After I whacked it everything worked fine again. Hope that helps some? Best regards -Jeff

Hi ILS

Thanks for your comments I really appreciate it.:)

The white out when cropping on ebay started when I was hooked up to Mozilla FireFox and ebay got me to change the internet explorer as it was already an option on my computer. Then they got me to change the
chrome.

The teco that I was talking to thinks it is a browser issue but need to let him into my computer from his home. Charges $50 per hr.

It has been an issue since OCT last year.......

KGV,

The idea that your computer problems are caused by NOT allowing pop-ups to happen just occured to me.

On ebay and PayPal I ran into problems when I went to the library and they were blocking pop-ups, so I had to waste paper and time and money to learn how to change it in two places, Internet Options on Windows (old Win XP lingo, sorry), and in the browser's options also.

Myself, I never like the idea of allowing people outside of my computer into it, especially without proper backups of everything important there, and blocking access to places and folders that have sensitive data or pics.

Good luck, no matter.

Thanks Puzzler all help very welcome.

With the computer guy I use he gets me to fill out an access request form with a clear time and date that works through my email.

There is a bunch of people that use him here and for over some years now.

To get a computer person here costs so much because of the transport and to be charged $50 per hr instead of $100 per hr is a big win for our island.

He is also the only one that has got anywhere with this issue. I can double crop on ebay and it works but it is a pain. Have to do a white out crop 1st and the next crop works perfectly.

I like to crop on ebay so it give me a very good look at the image just before it is listed. At present all images are getting cropped in the pitures file on my computer by my wife. With this help an anchor store comes back into a reality.

After I finish today there will be around 400 images prepped and scanned for my wife to crop. But it is heaps quicker to crop as I list on ebay.

This issue has been going on since before this date when I posted this.

Quote:
8hrs of listing nightmare.......

In the background is My ebay with fire fox jammed on image up load.

Front of the screen is My ebay with internet explorer trying to crop but it whites out instead...

After 3 computer technicians and ebay is still Saying this white out issue is Totally mine and I need to fix my computer. As when they do cropping in my store there is no issue. Now this has been going on since Sep last year. Two more browsers later.

Last Sunday I sent ebay 5 more screen shots but one was a screen shot from another computer with the white out when cropping as a screen shot was taken and sent to me by email. I then sent this email to ebay as one of the screen shots.

Total silence from ebay. Sent them a reminder Friday about being timed out many times in the past. No end to the complaint and no reply accept that they received my email.

With the 5 screen shots I also sent them a detailed list of the costs I have had to pay etc to prove that the issue has been ebay's issue from the beginning. They have cost me many thousands of $. And a weeks worth of my time. And do they want me to send them all the ebay emails concerning this ebay problem.

My computer has been cleaned by 3 different computer technicians and each technician has a reference from ebay that I need to fix my computer.

It has taken me 6 month to figure out how to prove this is an ebay problem not mine.

Are you fasting the main processor at all? That might be it too, or the interaction with the video card and it's drivers.

Java update?

Refresh CTRL-F5 all of ebay on all computers?

Hi Puzzler.

I can use other computers and get the same white out when I crop by the standard cropping tool supplied by ebay as apart of my anchor store package.Had verbally told ebay this and they rejected the possibility. So I gave them a screen shot of an email with details included of another persons email address in the screen shot.

HiikeyPikey

I sent the screen shot separately and then did one with them all together. Thought it was a nice touch at the time. They were back then telling me it was my browser. Finally use 3 browsers with no change.Having to reset my setting each time was a total pain. Lost SCF for a couple of weeks one time.

I have had 3 computer technicians clean and re-clean and re-clean a very clean computer. Got so fed up by my treatment by ebay that each time they said it was my computer it got a clean, 3 computer technicians clean.

ebay has gone very quite after I gave them a screen shot of an email with details included of another persons email address in the screen shot. It is very near 7 day quite.....

The 3 computer technicians all took over 2hrs with my computer.I had to travel for a about 90 mins for 2 of them. They all rechecked and rechecked there work. $100 to $150 per hr + the other costs for the starter computer technicians contact. It really starts to add up. Save the $ to get a computer technician to do work that you know is a waste of $ because what else do you do. eBays in ones ear saying............Now ebay is very quite.......Stone wall me again?........?I am not happy.......$500 a month for an anchor store that does not work properly.........

ebay replies.

"I've escalated this to our Technical Team for further investigation. I haven't received an update yet but as soon as I received an update I will let you know."

After 6 month it goes to the "Technical Team".

Who have I been dealing with?
