Have this Cinderellas from the late Worcester (Massachusetts) Evening Post. They obviously ran a contest but their label was pretty cool. Only problem, I have no idea what the pictures is of. Anyone know?

Also interesting that the newspaper folded in 1938...bought out by what is now today's Worcester Telegram & Gazette (owned by NY Times).

I find it interesting that there is remarkably very little on the internet that relates to these "cinderella" stamps.

However, I did find an image of an Alaska cover from an old 2004 auction that contained one of the other stamps in the series:

I wonder how many of these were made? I don't mean production numbers
but how many different designs? I happen to have three small groupings that came with a small estate collection. The lady collector lived about 30 miles from Worcester, MA and I assume she collected these right from the publication.
I have some starting with number 151. Then I have some more starting with 171. Lastly I have some from 193 and ending with number 200. So maybe 200 different individual designs were produced?
I never thought they were worth anything but see the auction is at 2 bucks each. Any more information on these?

If this helps anyone search out the answers, here is a link to an auction for what I assume to be an accompanying album. "Over half the stamps included" and it sold for $5 more or less.

Apparently "the card (# 163) depicts the Private Mosque of the Turkish Sultan in Constantinople."
