I was cheking a bulk and found this, with a nice litle pmk. I found a city name Sala in Sweden. Is this a Swedish pmk on arrival? I like this pmk, small, nice, (it seems the stamp has 3 such pmk) does anybody know something more about?

This is when you wish the stamp was still on the document.

Sala is not on the coast or anywhere near it. Not being a port city, it would seem an unlikely place for arrival cds to be placed on a stamp. I think only an expert on Swedish postmarks will be able to unravel the mystery.

I believe you'll find "Postage" in the left-hand frame. It would be valid for either.

I'm so glad you are deciding to focus on U.S. stamps. I'll be happy to bid on a number of your items.

(And no, I don't know what this is, but I like it.)

[edit: I was confused...I was thinking this was a post from jhlovell...oops... ]

Thanks CJD, I didn't look far enough, and don't know British stamps well enough either I am afraid.

I just happened to find this today - a Swedish stamp with `1952 Manchester cds.

Kind of parallel, I'd say!
