On June 2, 2003 Great Britain issued a set of 10, 1st rate stamps to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. One of these stamps (SG #2370) depicts Queen Elizabeth seated in the Coronation Chair, also known as King Edward's Chair, at the time of the event. For centuries, It has been the tradition to use the ancient chair for coronations. The Queen is shown flanked by the Bishops of Durham and Bath and Wells.

Clearer views of the Coronation Chair can be seen on pages 3, 4 and 5 of this thread.

As the elegant Eileen Gray is on the top of this page, I am adding her furniture. Her "E1027" side table (top stamp) is one of the most copied and sold items, although her design right exists up to 2026.

Danish modern classic is the icon of modern design - as well as Swan on this stamp, the Seven is used widely.

Ant chair by Arne Jacobsen is, also still produced and used. Master piece . The second stamp shows even more important piece from Denmark, in early 1910s. So ahead on Modernism, but also heavily rely upon skilled craftspeople.

This chair was inspired by bicycle handlebars, and is designed to disassemble with simple tools for bicycle. That was very advanced, as the cost of shipping/transport of furniture became large issue when global economy is in place.

He was an architect than furniture designer in his career but my best favourite piece by him is a Dining Chair which he designed when he was in the UK, now displayed in V&A.
