One of the interesting BOB areas of collecting German stamps are the Allied Military Government issues. This is a nice example of a German AMG cover currently being offered on ebay.



These stamps were issued following the Allied takeover of Germany, Italy and Austria in Europe, and remained in effect until the local postal systems were reconstituted.

this is also an American Military Govt stamp..for use in Trieste !

My wife is a little more subtle...i deposit the money and she withdraws it..my daughter and her humorously refer to it as "shopping"
