Nells
The Panama stamps with the fire truck was not issue in 1947 as stated in the Popular Science Magazine but in 1948. It's Scott #349. You can buy it on Stamps2Gohttp://www.stamps2go.com/Listing.aspx?page=1. There is a used copy for sale with a very light cancel. Only $0.10.Daniel

Could Finland have Chevrolets? that's what it looks like.
Chev's usually had a two pice door at the back.

Phil, cycling is the ultimate low impact sport.
start early enough and there shouldn't be any
problem, it execises most muscle groups.

In our wednesday group, about 10 of us, do 15km
and one guy, due to conditions, has an electric bike
he can still pedal, but engages it for the hills
(we always ask for a tow)
Our eldest member on wednesdays is 82yo, a real inspiration.

some days however it turns into a chat fest :)

I have heard of various birds attacking cars because they see the reflection of a rival bird in the paint or mirror... themselves!

timbres667 - I couldn't find that stamp listed on the site. I have to putter around a little more perhaps.

Rod,

I found this photo of a 1941 Cadillac ambulance: http://www.olive-drab.com/idphoto/i...nce_1941.php
Resembles the one in the stamp.

The Facit catalogue doesn't provide the detail of the stamp.
