Registration Labels - Why Not?

Let's build a nice collection of Registration Labels for everyone.
Here's my first one: Bulgaria

Let's also start with some nuggets.....

Australia...CV $5000

Dutch German New Guinea
(registration label used as a stamp)

(example belongs to Mr. Jay Carrigan I think)

Here's an El Salvador.
Can't be worth much but it's the only one I've ever seen.
I don't even recall who gave me the jpg but thank you very much whoever you are.

These two from Austria are not nuggets like Rods.

The Vienna one below is from 1978

Uruguay on 1977 letter.

Canada Post to my knowledge never used labels.
Instead they were stamped in either black or red ink.

Great examples everybody! Love 'em.

Anybody posting a Registration label, has to offer a short
1 liner on where the Reg Label is from????

Example: El Salvador : San Salvador (the capital of El Salvador)

Austria : Gollersdorf: (Lower Austria, arms consist of a Grape Vine)

Australia:
Military Hand Made registration stamps.

Csillaghegy : Hungary

District of Budapest known for open air baths
covered and heated in winter.

Vlaeberg : South Africa.

No information, I am completely discombobulated.
There is a Vlaeberg Post Office in Cape Town
and a Vlaeberg inland western Cape.

This from a 1926 KGV cover from Nigeria.



This is from a area and period of not-so-disinterested colonization of Africa. Today there is a battle going on in Nigeria regarding the oil fields (many near Lagos) as Nigerians attempt to reclaim (some lawfully, some not) their patrimony.

All these are from the mid-1970s.


Driebergen-Rijsenburg is a town in Utrecht Province, in central Netherlands.


Marandellas, changed back to the original name of Marondera in 1982, is a town 72k east of Harare (formerly Salisbury), Zimbabwe (formerly Rhodesia).



Bombay, now Mumbai, a city of 13 million people, is the administrative capital of Maharashtra state, and lies in the East of India on the Arabian Sea.

OK, this is a bit of a puzzle for me...

This label has been stuck over another one, as can be seen in the scan. I've got a lot to learn about covers, so maybe someone could explain why this might have been done? Here is the entire cover if that helps..
