Here is the topic you were looking for:

The Georgetown is very nice. It's good that someone didn't soak it...it would have been preferable if they would have left just a touch more paper, to my eyes. Still a sharp strike.

Yess! Thats the one! Thanks Cjd! Hmm, the BG stamp is not an adhesive one...there are several here just on the printed on the paper. Does this even count as a stamp then? ...and I will get my better examples on the other thread. I was ready to throw my camera out the window last night :/

Cutouts from printed envelopes or postcards are not included in the major catalogues, for the most part. Scott lists U.S. cutouts, but not international ones.

At one time, they did have something of a following in the U.S., which has been fading over recent decades; it seems that most of the rest of the world wants the entire card or envelope, or nothing at all.

In the case of a cutout, or a used stamp kept on a small piece of paper, most people dislike them being cut to shape, or too close to the design.

Yes, they are. In many cases, a country's postal-stationery designs are completely different from their stamp designs, so they are nice to see.

I'm sure you could sneak a few scans in here and there without offending too many people.

I, for one, like seeing them.
