The Oregon Stamp Society (Portland, Or) has a kiloware night about once a quarter in place of the normal meetings. If you're in the neighborhood, it's worth checking out. Just be prepared for all the retirees. I honestly think I'm the only active member under the age of 50, lol

Yeah! and I bet you're first in line for the homemade cupcakes....
Don't knock the oldies, when we clock out
we refresh the stamp supply.

This thread has me recalling my last
stamp meeting in a small country town a few weeks ago.

Every club has a raffle with proceeds going to the club,
first prize is usually part of a Hagner with a few
mint unhinged.

Not our club....ours was a dozen eggs. :)

lol! The eggs must be an Aussie thing ... or at least you have a good sense of humor :)

As for the refreshments, there is no doubt about the quality and quantity of baked goods our retirees bring!

No, that's honest Rileysan,
second prize was a pie dish.

Country living is full of surprises, the first
I noticed, was everybody waves hello.
I like that.

Of all the people in history that have reached 65 years of age, half of them are living right now.

That sounds about right, Rod. People 65 and over have 1 foot in the grave :)

Hi! palaniappan.
Mailing is going to be your biggest trouble buying kiloware.
Only airmail into India from Australia.
To mail .9kg or 2lbs of kiloware is Au$28.
You might be better off trying to buy kiloware off paper.
Your skills as an on line stamper should find you the stamps you want.
Happy stamping KGV.

What kiloware are you looking for? Worldwide ? Specific countries/topics?

Postage charges appear to be a bit cheaper from here, judging by KGV Collector's post. Maybe I can help.

Londonbus1....or maybe not.

I agree that off paper will have 3 or 4 times as many stamps for the same weight. However, they are much more likely to be damaged. Why were they soaked off? If they are discards, why? In transit, they are much more likely to become creased. I've bought some older off paper because they are less likely to yellow from being stuck to paper.

Good charity sources of kiloware with stamps off paper have very experienced workers that have taken so many stamps off paper they could do it in there sleep and not damage a stamp.

The trick is to know who's kiloware off paper can you trust.
