I have been hunting for these and cannot find them in my catalog. Are these unissued as well. Does anyone know or know the Scott numbers for them? Thanks - Jeff

They MUST be stamps! They are in my album and I remember buying them from a reputable dime store. |

jh, I read somewhere that these stamps although appearing to be Albanian were actually issued by an Albanian anti-communist group abroad somewhere. It was my understanding that these are an anti-communist propaganda stamp.
Perhaps someone else can fill in the details better than I can. |

jh, another reason why it is unlikely that the Albanian Government issued these stamps is because this staunchly communist government wouldn't do anything to glorify Churchill and Roosevelt in stamps. |

Could these be semi postal stamps? I don't have an Albania catalogue to check. The denominations have what looks like a dot or + sign between the numbers. It's centred in the number as opposed to lying on the baseline, which makes me think it may be a + sign. Sorry the scan isn't large enough on my screen to make it out clearly. |

Fascinating! The rod222 and mhc99 stamps have no date on them, while jhlovell's and mine have the date 1952. There must be more to this story. |

On the online auction page, someone has listed one of the "stamps" for $9.99 (US) . I have a set of four different of these for which I am sure I did not pay a cent. This can't be a realistic value, can it? |

"Retirement" has an itchy uncomfortable feel Jeff, I prefer "escapement" Depends on what you have, and how much you feel you need to remain content. My needs are very low, so it's a doddle. I am loving retirement, it must be said though, I am in a very lucky country.

Premature "retirement", aka prolonged unemployment, can put all the plans "in a jar by the door..." and make you really wonder IF... not when. |
